Good hotel located at 100 metre from Mahakaleshwar mandir. Well behaved and helpful staff, good quality food having good taste at normal rates, not hiked like many hotels. Good ameneties, clean room overall great experience

Perfect budget hotel near Mahakal Temple, Ujjain

My father recommended Hotel Gujarat Heritage which is nearby Mahakal Temple as he has stayed there before once. Unfortunately, the rooms were not available in that hotel so after looking around 2-3 hotels nearby, I came across this "Hotel Amar Palace". This is at a 2 minutes walking distance from Mahakal Temple. Its a very good budget hotel which was constructed in year 2016. The location of hotel and its rooms are better than Hotel Gujarat Heritage. The price quoted for a double-bed AC room was 1000/- per night with free extra mattress. I liked the room as it was decent and the toilet was clean too. The size of room is just ok, not very spacious and I think its ideal for just 1 day. The hotel has 3 floors but no lift. There are 4 rooms on the ground floor. Rooms do not have windows for any view and has a decent size almirah(cupboard). No chairs/table but a 6*6 size bed which can accomodate a couple with 1 child.. The staff was helpful and friendly. They don't have a restaurant but they have a tie-up with a nearyby restaurant and serve food in the room. They have installed a RO water purifier and provide free RO water. Since the hotel is nearby Mahakal temple, it was very easy to find auto-rickshaw to travel anywhere and there are ample restaurants at a walking distance. Highly recommended if your budget is around 1000 Rupees per night and you wish to stay near Mahakal Temple.

We went to this hotel during mahakaleshwar visit. Best thing about this hotel is that it is very close to mahakaleshwar temple. Newly build hotel. Rooms are bit small. No restaurant and room service available in this hotel. No lift in the hotel.
